Sunday Morning Programming Sunday School. 9:30 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. Infant to Age 4. Located downstairs in the Preschool hallway Grades K – 5. Located upstairs on the Elementary hallway. Curriculum 3’s, 4’s, K: Show Me Jesus, Great Commission Publications 1st – 5th Grade: Bible-in-Life, David C. Cook Publications Childcare Childcare is provided for children from birth to age 4 during the Worship Service, and is located on the Preschool hallway. Professional staff and parent volunteers provide care. Children’s Church Children’s Church follows the “Time for Young Disciples”, which is held during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Children are escorted from the sanctuary for a children’s worship experience. Children’s Church is open to children K through grade 3. Location: Shalom Room on the lower level			Wednesday Evening Programming Midweek Matters Midweek Matters brings families together to enjoy food and fellowship followed by Bible study or other programming for adults and children. Child Care is provided for children under age 3. Children ages 4 through grade 5 enjoy group lessons, crafts, activities and homework time. Dinner: 5:15 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Program: 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Location: Dinner in the Fellowship Hall Adult program in the Fellowship Hall Children’s activities on the Elementary hallway Child Care Child Care is provided from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for children from birth to age 3 while adults participate in Bible study or other Wednesday evening activities.
Special Events Summer Opportunities Contact: Becky Mayo bmayo@fpcgastonia.org, or Extension 106 Vacation Bible School Vacation Bible School (VBS) offers children ages 4 through grade 5 a week of Bible study, fun, and fellowship. Vacation Bible School for 2011 runs Monday through Thursday, June 20-23, from 8:30 a.m. to Noon. Wild and Wacky Wednesdays Wild and Wacky Wednesdays give rising first through fifth graders the opportunity to enjoy God’s Wild and Wonderful World through field trips with Dr. Frye on eight Wednesdays to different destinations in the Carolinas. Seasonal Opportunities See FirstPress for up-to-date information on these events. Easter Egg Hunt Light refreshments and story time is followed by an Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 1 year through grade 5 held the Saturday before Palm Sunday. Fall Festival Costumed children “of all ages” enjoy dinner, activities, games, and treats—a family event typically held on the last Wednesday evening in October. ADVENTure Children and their parents enjoy a Christmas ADVENTure to learn more about the true meaning of Christmas. ADVENTure is typically held on the first Saturday morning in December.
