Weekly Announcements
In-Person Worship Susended.
The Task Force on Reopening held their most recent meeting on Thursday, January 7. It was unanimously agreed that the current status of the COVID-19 pandemic is so severe that it still prevents us from returning to in-person worship.
At this time, we will continue to worship via Livestream from the Sanctuary on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. Services may be viewed by visiting www.fpcgastonia.org/livestream.
Although we pray it will be safe to worship in the sanctuary come Palm Sunday, the Task Force will not be aiming for a specific date to reopen until it is determined that the coast is truly clear. In the meantime, the Task Force will provide ongoing updates.
Godspeed and thank you for your patience,

Souper Bowl of CaringFPC Youth will collect a special offering benefiting Christ Community Outreach Food Ministry on February 7, in recognition of the Souper Bowl of Caring. The Souper Bowl of Caring reminds us that while we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, there are many within our community who go without a bowl of soup to eat.

Blanket Sunday
We see all kinds of disasters every day on the news. Prayerfully consider making a donation on February 21, Blanket Sunday, to help families suffering disasters everywhere. All donations go to Church World Service to be used around the world to help families recover from disasters. CWS helps people in a time of crisis by giving them the resources they need for the long road to recovery. Blankets and other types of support are provided by CWS not only in the United States; but also around the world anywhere disaster strikes. Blanket Sunday is just one of the many ministries that Presbyterian Women support. Each $10.00 donation provides a blanket for someone in need at home and abroad. Caring Cupboard
We invite you to check out our newly installed Caring Cupboard, located outside the Chapel portico entrance. This special cupboard will provide non-perishable food and toiletry items for our neighbors in need. If you see that our stock is running low, add a few pantry staples of your own! Non-perishable foods can include, but are not necessarily limited to: canned meats, canned vegetables of all varieties, fruit (in cans or plastic packaging), canned pastas (like ravioli, beefaroni, etc.), canned tomato sauce, boxed pasta (like spaghetti), canned soups and stews, macaroni-and-cheese boxes, rice, peanut butter and jelly (no glass jars, please!), granola bars, cereal. These small donations will help to fill in the gaps for families and individuals in our community.
Thank you to Kathryn Cupp, a student at Stuart Cramer High School, for making this project possible.
