Christmas in July service will be held July 28, 2019
This year our church will be providing requested gifts and monetary donations to support Grier Middle School. Their clothes closet has many needs and the school staff needs supplies to begin the school year. Grier Middle School is a Title One urban school with nearly 700 students. Many of those students attend daily in tattered or ill-fitting clothing. Children should be focusing on education, but it’s hard to concentrate when they are struggling to get through the day. The Grier staff tries to keep them properly and comfortably dressed. Each time a student receives clothing, it depletes school resources and due to limited funds, the staff often pay for needed items with their own money. They are willing to do this, but would appreciate our support and help.

Items requested include:

Female
Jeans with no holes (Junior’s and Women’s, all sizes)
Tights/leggings – black, ankle length (all sizes, including Queen)
Short-sleeved shirts (adult, all sizes)
Underwear (Women’s sizes 5, 6, 7, 8)

Male
Short-sleeved shirts (adult, all sizes)
Athletic pants or shorts (all sizes)
Underwear (Men’s, sizes small, medium, large, extra-large)

Both genders
Personal hygiene products (washcloths, body wash, shampoo, deodorant, sanitary products)

Staff and school nurse
Bulletin board letters and borders, adult scissors, staplers, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, Kleenex, spiral notebooks, and #2 pencils
Band-Aids, Ziploc bags, Chapstick, Vaseline

This is our community and they need our help. Let’s give them a happy, healthy and safe school year.
