COLLECTION FOR WEBB STREET SCHOOL
Missions is collecting items in September, including school supplies and non-perishable food items for Webb Street School’s Food Pantry. This program helps feed needy families in the school and community. This program also helps Webb Street children learn sorting, shopping, and organizational skills. Drop off items at the Reception area or the Fellowship Hallway.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT ALIVE (WNA): LESSONS FROM THE MOUNTAIN (DR. WILL CURRENT)
Wednesday, September 16, 5:30, Fellowship Hall. As we begin a new season of WNA our programs will be in the context of our season of visioning and our congregational vision, "Belonging, Renewing and Transforming." Many times our Biblical heroes turned to the mountains when it was time to discern a call. Come hear lessons from the Wyoming mountains as Will and George Current recently attempted the Grand Teton summit (elevation: 13,775 ft.). Menu: Trio chicken, green beans, slaw, bread, cheesecake. Cost: $8/ea.
CURIOSITY AND COURAGE STRATEGIC PLAN CELEBRATION DINNER
Sunday, September 20, 5:00-7:00 pm, Fellowship Hall. Mark your calendars for this informative evening. The CCC will be presenting the new Strategic plan. It will be a fun evening to see the direction God is leading us. RSVP on Realm.

FAITH FORMATION YARD SALE
Saturday, October 2, 9:00 am-Noon, Fellowship Hall and parking lot. This is more than a chance to clean out a closet or find a great deal. The Yard Sale is an opportunity for our church community to support Faith Formation and the ministries that help children, youth, and adults grow in faith together.
There are several ways to help. Donate clean, gently used items you no longer need, come shop the sale, or help us spread the word to friends and neighbors. Drop off between 1:00-7:00 pm on Friday at the Fellowship Hall.
FAITH AND FICTION
Sunday, October 4, 5:00 pm, off-site. We will discuss the book, Faith Bass Darling's Last Garage Sale by Lynda Rutledge.
VACINATION CLINIC
Wednesday, October 7, 3:30-6:30 pm, Fellowship Hall. We are hosting a vaccination clinic for individuals who want to get an updated Flu, RSV, or COVID-19 vaccine. No registration or appointment is required.

ROAD RUNNERS: LAZY 5 RANCH FALL ADVENTURE
Friday, October 16, all day, off-site. Spend a beautiful fall day with the Road Runners at Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville. Enjoy a guided wagon ride through the ranch where you'll see giraffes, zebras, antelope, and other animals up close, then explore the grounds during the Fall Festival. We'll also enjoy lunch together at Scratch Kitchen before returning home. The bus leaves the church at 7:30 am and returns around 5:00 pm. The wagon ride cost is $15 per person. 90TH BIRTHDAY LUNCHEON
Tuesday, October 20, Noon-1:30 pm, Fellowship Hall. You are cordially invited to attend a special luncheon honoring those celebrating 90 years and above. There is no cost for honorees; however, admission is $8 per guest, payable at the door.
SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE FALL BUILD PROJECT
Saturday, October 24 and 31, off-site. FPC is partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace for our Fall Build Project. Volunteers will help build beds for children in our community who need a safe, comfortable place to sleep. No special skills or experience are needed. Tools, instructions, and guidance will be provided. Sign up today and help make a meaningful difference for a local child, one bed at a time.

Whether you have been Presbyterian your whole life or are simply curious to learn more, this is an opportunity to ask questions, make new connections, and discover more about the tradition we share.

Sunday, October 25, 5:00-7:00 pm, Fellowship Hall parking lot. We need your help with ensuring that we have a great supply of backup candy. Please donate candy (individually wrapped Halloween candy), small toys (shop orientaltrading.com), and treats (individually wrapped cookies). Drop off your donations in the baskets placed at the Reception Desk, Memorial Gallery, and Fellowship Hall.

KIRKIN' O' THE TARTANS
Sunday, November 8, 11:00 am, Sanctuary. We will gather for one combined service at 11:00 am as we participate in the Kirkin’ O’ the Tartans! During this service, we will participate in the tradition of carrying tartans into the church as we celebrate our Presbyterian Scottish heritage. There will be a covered dish lunch following worship in the Fellowship Hall at noon.
VETERAN'S DAY LUNCHEON
Wednesday, November 11, Noon-1:00 pm, Fellowship Hall. Join us for a special luncheon to celebrate our veterans.
WOMEN'S FALL RETREAT AT MONTREAT
Mark your calendars for November 20–22 as women of First Presbyterian Church gather at Montreat Conference Center for a weekend retreat filled with worship, learning, fellowship, and fun.
