SECOND SUNDAY BREAKFAST
Sunday, August 9, 9:00 am, Fellowship Hall. Join us for an intergenerational time of fellowship. We will have a short devotion, then enjoy a delicious breakfast (prepared by Gwen) and conversation as we gather around the table.

FAITH FORMATION SUNDAY
Sunday, August 9, 9:00 am, Fellowship Hall. This will be your opportunity to learn about our Sunday school offerings for all ages. Our rising third graders will receive their own Bibles, and we will enjoy breakfast and fellowship together.​

RESUMING OUR REGULAR WORSHIP SCHEDULE
August 16, 9:00 am. Mark your calendars for the return of our Fall programming. Thrive service will begin at 9:00 am (Fellowship Hall); Sunday school will be at 10:00 am; and the Traditional service will start at 11:00 am (Sanctuary).

BACKPACK BLESSING
Sunday, August 16, Sanctuary. We will bless our children and their backpacks during the children’s sermon as they start another academic year. Students are invited to bring their backpacks to church for the blessing.
NEW MEMBER WELCOME
Sunday, August 16, Memorial Gallery. Join us for a reception immediately following the Traditional Service to welcome the newest members to FPC.

READING SOUL MATES VOLUNTEER INFORMATION MEETING
Sunday, August 16, 4:00 pm, Parlor. Interested in helping a child discover the joy of reading? Learn about Reading Soul Mates, a literacy program through the Gaston Literacy Council, and how you can make a difference. New and returning volunteers are welcome.
BLOOD DRIVE
August 18, 2:00 to 7:00 pm, Fellowship Hall. Help save lives by donating blood. Your donation can support patients in our community who rely on life-saving blood transfusions. Contact Beth Silvers or sign up on Realm to reserve your donation time. Presbyterian Women are asking ladies to bake cookies to give to donors.

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN’S KICK-OFF DINNER
