Wednesday, October 28, 5:30, Fellowship Hall. How does God want us to tell others about God? Nancy Green leads a conversation about the Great Commission, Jesus' call to make disciples of all nations, and what that commission means for believers today. Join us October 28 as we explore what it means to share our faith and participate in the mission Christ gave the church. Wednesday, November 4, 5:30, Fellowship Hall. Mission and outreach are central to the life of the church, and FPC's new Strategic Plan brings important changes to how that work is organized. Join Charlie Grissom to learn about the restructuring of the Mission Committee, what is changing, and how the new structure will help shape FPC's mission and outreach. KIRKIN' O' THE TARTANS
Sunday, November 8, 11:00 am, Sanctuary. We will gather for one combined service at 11:00 am as we participate in the Kirkin’ O’ the Tartans! During this service, we will honor our tradition of carrying the tartans into the church as we celebrate our Presbyterian Scottish heritage. Rev. Mark Tidsworth will be the guest preacher. Bring a dish and join us for lunch following worship in the Fellowship Hall. If you are interested in carrying a/your Tartan this year, please contact Kevin Schultz. No RSVP required.
VETERANS DAY LUNCHEON

Wednesday, November 18, 5:30, Fellowship Hall. Gather around the table as we conclude the fall season of Wednesday Night Alive with our Thanksgiving Dinner on November 18. Share an evening of food, fellowship, and gratitude, with a special Thanksgiving Prayer led by Mary Taneti. Menu: Thanksgiving Meal: Turkey breast, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, broccoli casserole, gravy, green beans, mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, slaw, rolls, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, pecan pie. WOMEN'S FALL RETREAT AT MONTREAT
Mark your calendars for November 20–22 as women of First Presbyterian Church gather at Montreat Conference Center for a weekend retreat filled with worship, learning, fellowship, and fun. YOUTH PANTHERS VS SAINTS FOOTBALL GAME
Sunday, December 13th, off-site. We are taking a group trip to Charlotte for a Panthers game! You are encouraged to attend the Thrive service that Sunday; then, during the Traditional service, we will leave the church in the van and head to Charlotte. We will stop for lunch before the game.
