We are Expanding Our Program to Include a Full-Day Option for Working Parents

The FPC Day School is a full-time day school experience rooted in care, curiosity, and community, supporting children and families during these important early years.

About the Day School Program

At FPC Day School, we believe early childhood is about more than learning letters and numbers. It’s about helping children feel safe, confident, and excited to discover the world around them.

As a ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Gastonia, our school is grounded in values of kindness, respect, and gratitude. We welcome families of all backgrounds and partner with parents to nurture each child’s growth socially, emotionally, and academically.

Our Approach

  • Age-appropriate, play-based learning

  • Emphasis on social and emotional development

  • Small class environments where children are known by name

  • Gentle introduction to faith-based values through stories, music, and daily rhythms

  • Experienced, caring teachers who build strong relationships with children and families

Full-Time and Part-Time Options

We are proud to offer both full-time and part-time preschool programs to meet the diverse needs of families.

Part-Time Program

  • Shorter day options

  • Ideal for families seeking a gentle introduction to preschool

  • Flexible schedule

Full-Time Program

  • Full-day care for working families

  • Consistent daily routine

  • Deeper engagement in learning and community

  • Both programs share the same commitment to care, quality, and connection.

A Community Rooted in Care

As part of the First Presbyterian Church community, children benefit from a setting where relationships matter. Our church family supports the Day School through prayer, care, and shared celebrations, creating a warm environment where children and families feel welcome.
